How Do You Cry?

Today, a student was speaking to me about a movie he watched and actually said, "I watched that movie Candyman and it scared me so much I cried like a little bitch."

I said, "I can't believe you are using that language with me."

"What am I supposed to say?"

"Say I cried like a little girl."

The feminist in me is more than a little appalled at the little lesson I taught that student today. My roommate says I should have just said, "Say you cried." But I say, you've got to take it one step at a time.
